In a newspaper interview, the actress Shilpa Shetty was asked about her views on famous novels being a part of ICSE syllabus. To which she enthusiastically supported this change and said,

“Books like Lord of the Rings (LOTR) and Harry Potter as part of the syllabus is a great move because it cultivates imagination and creativity at a young age. They should include books like Little Women, as it encourages respect towards women at a young age. Even a book like Animal Farm can teach the little ones to love and care for animals.

“Animal Farm” a 1945 novel written by George Orwell, is a biting satire of totalitarianism, written in the wake of World War II and published amid the rise of Soviet Russia.

Shilpa Shetty inadvertently made that comment but we all know the nature of kind twitteratis. One by one they all started to roast Shilpa Shetty on twitter by their witty suggestions and comments. Since then the hashtag #ShilpaShettyReviews is trending on Twitter and Facebook.
