This is not the first time Drake is ruling the chart, last year he was streamed more than 1.8 billion times. The Canadian rapper managed to stretch the limit to 4.7 billion streams this year, however, more than half of the streams were only from his album “Views”. And on a side note as being a part of a deal with Apple Music the “Views” album was temporarily unavailable on Spotify for almost two weeks.

“One Dance” song was played over 960 million times alone on Spotify. This song was a hit on almost every streaming service, let it be Apple music, Spotify or Deezer. Due to such great response, Drake was on the top of the official UK singles chart for almost 16 weeks.

“One Dance” is now the most played song on Spotify of all time. Drake’s earning was estimated as $4.8 million according to Spotify.

Drake’s girlfriend Rihanna was Spotify’s most-streamed female artist of 2016. But sadly the couple split up recently after they averted each other in Abu Dhabi.
