Cristiano Ronaldo, who is also addressed as god of Real Madrid and former favorite player of Manchester United recalls the night he signed for Sir Alex Ferguson’s team. There are lots of stories about how the Portuguese forward signed for United. But the man himself recalls about the days when he made a firm decision that he would associate with England’s most successful team.

Let’s take you back in time. Team Manchester United were up against Sporting Lisbon in Portugal and the English defenders had no clue whatsoever about the abilities of CR7, how he takes the game away from you. He was not that renowned entity altogether back then and they were quickly blown by his quality while he was attacking.

And Ronaldo played his heart out that night. Ronaldo’s team mate told him that if he plays well against Manchester United, he can play for their side. And in reply to this he was all like “Are you kidding me? No, it’s too early. I’m 17!” Then that night, Ronaldo was unbelievable and played it like a boss. He was like that guy who completely steals the show.

One of the English defenders, Rio Ferdinand who by the way struggled a lot against Ronaldo that night talks about the way he asked Sir Alex Ferguson whether they were signing CR7 or not. Rio remembers his conversation with manager – “Are we going to get this guy? Who is he?” And to which the manager replied – “Listen, I’m working on it. Don’t worry.” Ferdinand says that he along with his team were waiting for almost one and a half hours after the game. Then the manager comes back in and said, “I think I’ve got him.”
